FIVE DAYS AND COUNTING-Ironman World Championships in Hawaii

The Ho’ala Ironman training swim finish

Sarah is right there in the thick of the action, preparing for her first Ironman World Champs. With less than a week remaining we sneak a peak into her world as it stands today.

The Ho’ala Ironman Training Swim is an official practice swim on the Ironman World Championship swim course one week out from the race.

We joined in with that this morning, and I was happy with my time and how I felt. It was the first time I had worn my new swim skin, the ROKA Viper Pro. I practiced swimming in it over my Tri suit, exactly as I will wear in the race next weekend, and it felt great! Made me a little more confident.

We enjoyed delicious Açaí bowls for breakfast on Ali’i Drive overlooking the ocean, and then checked out the official Ironman store, where the new Ironman World Championship 2017 range was revealed.

This evening we caught up with some fellow Aussie Ironman athletes, including Tom Gersekowski and Andrew Jammo, before getting caught in some heavy rain on our way to grabbing dinner. Now we’re ready to crash out in preparation for a ride in the morning.
